Pari Island, one short beautiful escape.

Short day off. 3 January 2013, I and my friends agreed to have a one-night trip to Pari Island. It is one in Thousand Islands, Jakarta, Indonesia. We took off by the boat from Muara Angke. We spent an hour on the way sea, to arrive at the peaceful wonderful island. It has only few residents, though the island is not as small as I thought. It is even bigger than Tidung island, an island I wrote about years ago. Hihi. I know I'm such a one-sinful-blogger. We stayed in one of resident's house. Not so long to have relax, we mind our short time to go snorkeling. That was one of 'we are waiting' moment. Unfortunately, that was not a friendly time. The wave on the sea is so hardly to snorkel, we were hardly to stay float to view the beautiful under the sea. We had enough time to move our snorkeling spot and found the other calm. We satisfied with 3 different snorkeling spots. Done snorkeling, it was enough to get famished. We all 9 found a small place selling hot-from-the-oven noodles. We finished the noodles like there is no more noodles in the world. Then, we got ourselves ready to other activities. We had admired the beautiful sunset, had a quick fish barbecue in the evening. The quick one because the fish is not enough for the 9-eat-girl. The man said that it was hard to find fish because of the bad weather. We tried to sleep not too late then so we could wake up so early to see sunrise. The fact we woke up so early but failed to capture sunrise the next morning, only sat on a bench at the beach and blamed to the rain. Thanks God, sky turned into bright right after that, so we had some fun on another side beach, it is called Pantai Pasir Perawan, read: Virgin Beach... The beach is a peaceful beach. It is no wave because the wave crash over the wall some miles before the beach. I even got some time to take a sampan, a small boat to see around. The man who sailed the sampan told us. That there is a story behind the name. Long years ago, there was a girl with her 2 friends playing along the beach.  The 3 kids were playing fun, while 2 of them realized that her friend had gone missing. People looked after the girl for years but they found no result. Since then, they started to call the beach, Virgin beach.

Back to my trip story.

We had some time to try a sofa boat, another kind of banana boat. We do not need to be wet, beacuse we just sitting on, almost like a lying down on the couch while the speed boat pulling us. That was more fun than I thought and we had so much good time. Last, we packed to go back home and waited for the boat until Friday prayer was over. We were sitting eating noodles at the beach to wait. When the boat came, we got into it and waited to get the boat quite fully loaded. Aand, maybe too much water to drink, you know, full day at the beach. It is hot. *my excuse*. I felt want to pee but reluctantly to have it in the toilet inside the boat. I went out of the boat, back to the house, where it is nearly from there. I thought it would just take around 5 minutes. The fact it was not so short as I thought. My what-the-moment again. While I pee, my friends called that the boat had ready to go. What the... I had even just got into the toilet. THANK to my friends, for remember that I was still in that land. Seriously, I should had asked the person in charge of the boat first, to let them know that one of their passenger went out to pee and left the bag inside. They waited for me, anyway, and that was really my what-the-moment happened (again). The thought of being left in that island, and waited for the next do-not-know-what-time another boat came, was horrible.

I liked the whole package of trip, exclude my what-the-moment. There was a short beautiful escape. Thank You, my friends and the right timing (enough money, not sick, not busy, home run well) but the bad weather in January, while it was not so that bad.

You all visit Thousands Islands. It has many more than Pari island, from the lowest cost up to the highest cost. It is one worth:)
